Top 10 Collectibles for 2011

The January 2011 issue of Country Sampler featured an article on the "Top 10 Collectibles for 2011".
As a way of featuring our own products alongside the magazine's feature, we are going to quote the article and show you a few of our own products as a reference.

Number 3 in the Top Collectibles for 2011 is Miniature Cups.

According to Country Sampler; "Miniatures of almost anything have always been popular collectibles. Perhaps this is ture now more than ever because many people are downsixing their homes. Those homeowners may not have the display or storage space for an entire set of a standard-size dish pattern, but there is always room for some tiny, elegant cups. Some of these miniatures may be dollhouse pieces, parts of children's play tea sets or undersize demitasse cups.
Althought notas prevalent as their full-size counterparts, at least one or two tiny antiques cups are often found on the back shelves of cupboards and glass display cases in antique shops. Miniature cups enerally are valued at about the same as full-size renditions, perhaps a bit more. Different materials also affect the value; for example, an elegant handpainted porcelain cup would be worth substantially more than a run-of-the-mill ironstone, whether in full size or miniature."

Little Lamb Antiques is beginning to feature these same miniature tea cups with their saucers at amazing prices. One of which is this adorable, unique shaped cup and saucer set shown to the (right). It has a beautiful painted floral pattern with gleaming gold edging. For only $9.99 plus shipping you can add this super unique set to your collection.

Last Chance to Grab Christmas Items

Christmas has come and gone and now it is time to start 'cleaning' up the shop.

We have lowered our prices on all of our Christmas items in the etsy shop to help them sell. All items that have not sold as of January 1, 2011, will be pulled from the shop until October 2011.

So if you see an item that you feel you cannot live without, be sure to grab it up!

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

Toys are flying off the shelves!

Toys are the big seller right now in our Little Lamb Antiques etsy shop. Perhaps it's the fact that Christmas is coming way too soon or maybe people are getting a little nostalgic to relive their childhood.

Due to this, we will start trying to get even more toys in our shop very soon! If you have any requests, be sure to let us know so we can keep our eyes open!

Reschedule Little Lamb Antique Market

We are planning to reschedule our antique market for some time in September.

We had planned to have it August 28th, however, due to many of our items in our etsy shop being purchased, we would like to replenish our stock to give you a really good selection.

Keep checking back often as we will post the exact date soon.

In the mean time, be sure to check our etsy shop for loads of goodies to choose from!

Collecting postcards

Many may think the idea of collecting postcards is silly. Though one only needs to find a truly beautiful one to begin getting hooked on postcard collecting.

Personally we collect them for the beauty of them. Back in the early 1900's they made some of the most beautiful postcards you will ever find. However, this does not mean that we do not take the time to truly appreciate them for what they really are, which is, a piece of our history.

Recently we added several 'lots' of postcards to our Etsy Shop that would be perfect for someone wanting a small collection to frame. All of the lots are 'good luck' pieces.

There are just enough in each lot that you could get a little creative and make your very own *piece of history* collection.
